Sometimes you gotta mix it up…
So you start your Dream Pursuit, moving towards the milestones and things you originally mapped out. All the original milestones, originally mapped out with efficiency, effectiveness, and what you think you would experience along the way to achieving your dream.
What you didn’t know lurked around the corner was a feeling of something isn’t totally clicking tempered with the challenges heavily peppered with frustration.
Now what? To you just keep pressing forward, ignoring what you’re feeling and what is coming up for you? Or do you take a beat, have some serious heart to heart convos with your Dream Guide, and ultimately “RE-mix” your milestones on the way to achievement.
Reflect, respond, remix. Sometimes you gotta mix it up and learn from what is working and not working in your pursuit.
What I can say, is I did the later. Jess was great to discuss and shall I say, help me unpack what was coming up. All the while sharing this is part of the process. Things won’t always be what they originally seemed. What you mapped out might not always be what ends up working. The milestone dates and percentage of achievement seemed alright, but the how needed to be finessed to say the least.
Originally I had mapped out anywhere from 10-12 Masterclasses as part of my dream pursuit. After dismantling what was coming up, and to quote Jess “using my frustration as part of my dream pursuit,” I quickly realized perhaps that number of classes wasn’t realistic and while I could complete them, it would be difficult to have the time to truly focus on them. I re-mapped out the how of what I was doing.
I decided to keep all my milestone dates and adjusted to focusing on a smaller core number of Masterclasses. The end result, 3-4 core Masterclasses, where I will have to have 3 instances for each class of how I put the learnings into action/practice.
The other great thing that came out of this Dream Remix, was the Girl, It’s Time Bvlog! With Covid and current world circumstances, it is difficult to know if there will be opportunities to do presentations or performances in front of people.
The next best way to put yourself out there - a bvlog! Where I can write, video, and chronicle my learning, key takeaways, and continue to put myself, my voice, and CTC out there in the world. At the end of it all, I will post a final video and written piece to highlight what the experience was overall and what key internal shifts have been made along the way and at the time of achievement!
You know the old saying, when life gives you lemons make lemonade! In this case, when life gives you a bunch of different songs that might not seem to make sense, remix it and dance to the joy it brings! Be ready to pivot Girl, because the only thing constant in this world is change, including the change in ourselves and our dreams!
Keep on dreamin’!
